Hi all,

I have MySky with the HD ticket so getting 5.1 sound out of all the usual channels via optical into a Panny home theatre box. 

Is there any way to change to sound output to just 2.0 as I want to route the sound via the TV (HDMI) so I can free up the optical port on the home theatre for the Apple TV? Getting rid of HD is not an option!

Won't your TV downmix the 5.1 from the HDMI to 2.0?

Change the Sound to HDMI output / unplug the TOSLink cable from the Mysky box.
Let your TV pass the sound onto the speakers.
