I presume there is too much sky in the sky for Sky, as a whole bunch of channels (but not all) are out with atmospheric conditions.
Fortunately terrestrial Freeview is still kicking.
I hope this wont interfere with the cricket coverage in a few weeks.

Likely to be the LNB ageing, how long have you had the dish for?

If its a DUAL then yep they can drift. Loose up to 10mhz. Older ones crap out on hot days, then when it gets cooler again the sig comes back.

Assuming its the LNB should not be a charge unless you have gotten at it and tried anything on it! I asked the sky man we had today about it but could not post as my net died. poor guy was running late today!

The dish would be about 7-8 years old. I presume it is the sun as all the channels come back by 7pm.
Is it a DUAL? I dont know. We have 2 decoders, is that what you mean?

Had the same issue most of this week and last week - signal loss between 3:00pm - 4:00 pm during the hot days. Dish / LNB is of unknown age .. I think it looks pretty close to one of these - are they the old heat prone ones ?

Just had our LNB replaced today actually. Turned on the TV to watch the cricket yesterday and all channels unavailable due to atmospherics. Noooooo... perfect timing!! It was the second time I'd called Sky with the same issue. The first time, a couple of weeks ago, they got me to change a setting on the box (can't recall exactly what it was called) from 10.75 to 10.74 and that cleared everything up. Then yesterday changing that setting failed too.

On the plus side though, both calls were answered within 30 seconds (I was gobsmacked!) and a tech was scheduled for the very next day. Can't argue with that. In the meantime I watched the cricket via SkyGo on an iPad Mini. Excellent picture quality and no streaming issues at all. Don't get that via a browser in my experience. A real shame they disable AirPlay via mobile devices though.

I had the same issue. Turned out it was water ingress into the LNB. They tried to get me to change the same setting as well, and when they didn't work they turned up and replaced the LNB. Can't complain, prompt and efficient service and the tech knew his onions.

I think it is a known problem with ageing LNBs - certainly they person on the other end of the phone immediately knew what I was describing and what it was likely to be due to.
