I was just wondering why there is a premium when a Kiwi fights in a PPV?

When Sonny Bill Williams fights it costs $40 to watch his fights, but when an international fight with more skilled boxers is on it's less than $30. Same with Joseph Parker, when there was a Heavy Weight PPV on with Parker in it (He wasn't even the main event) to watch the fight you had to pay $40. Why are we paying a premium just because a Kiwi is in the PPV?

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather PPV's are only $30. Sonny Bill Williams is not worth more money to watch than them.

It's fairly cheap for Sky to buy the rights to the international fights due to NZ being a very small market (compared to US for example) , so they get a pretty cheap price.

I would imagine that it costs Sky more to buy the rights to an NZ fight as they would be the major purchaser, additionally they probably feel they can charge the customer more due to it being a Kiwi fight, so more viewers interested.

Because people will pay more when they feel they have an emotional connection to the fight by it being a kiwi.

Fighting bums sure demands a higher price eh. Better to save money from Money Bill Williams and put it towards a Manny Pacquiao VS Floyd Mayweather fight on the 3rd of May.

Maybe it's time SBW's manager was put in the ring to earn his own prize money.
