After the CWC I'm at the edge of pulling Sky, I will search for streaming alternatives overseas in the interim of F1. Got Lightbox, getting UFB, have Unlimited.

Are there any legal means to obtain the doco channels Discovery, Natgeo, BBC Knowledge, History? Or just the first 3. Are they on Netflix or is Netflix only movies?

Pity, but for $100 a month, Ive realised that what I watch is limited on Sky. a few docos, F1. Bit O Rugger but only AB's. AB's play at the pub.

I can see better value for FTA and my BR/HDD Panny Recorder, Lightbox, Netflix.

Plenty of documentaries on Netflix. Some are TV series type and others are full length. Many are from History and BBC.

We've just pulled the plug. Like you only thing we wont have access to is Food Channel, Discovery etc.

There is plenty to watch on Netflix though.

Id say watch this space. Lightbox must have allowed a number to reconsider cancelling Sky, Netflix will add to that. Maybe Neon will add a little. Then, competition being what it is, they may revamp how they offer Sky. Maybe Sport is not requiring Basic, maybe reasonable pay options for sport genres (rugger, cricket, etc).
I'll miss F1, Tennis, but I'll seek out streaming options after the CWC is over.

I have DishWorld which shows most of cricket matches and all football matches for $10/month along with other sports events. They did not get the rights for cricket world cup this year due to StarSports in India, Australia'a channel 9 and ESPN US getting the exclusive rights. StarSports has a NZ$2.50 package in HD for all 53 ODI world cup matches available to stream live in an web browser. Been using it since match 1 and works great.

Do whatever you want to do man.

So the nowtv sports package is 10.99 GBP per week.

I was hoping it would be a better offering than PLP, but the sports package costs more than my sky sub with sports, My sky & the hd ticket. (and a lot more than PLP)
The entertainment pack @ 6.99 gbp / month is pretty good value.

Does anyone use the actual now tv box I saw on the site?
