In August 2014 Sky announced the following :-

Upgrade for all Digital decoders – from March 2015

SKY will replace around 460,000 non-MY SKY decoders with a new decoder that is MY SKY capable and features the enhanced high definition electronic programme guide.

Has anyone seen any evidence of this happening yet?

Do this mean you could get the HD ticket without having to pay more for the MySky box now?

Bwahahaha. Sky? Give something away?
You are mistaking them for a company that wants to keep existing customers (as opposed to one that only seems to care about giving away stuff to new customers).

BTW, I despise having to pay for the privilege of watching something in HD in 2015 (when it is available). Despicable.

I upgraded my Sky decoder last month to a Netflix app, no HD ticket and decent HD quality

I had hoped that the arrival of Netflix and Lightbox might force Sky to actually do something favourable to its customer base but alas no

So, no one has actually received a replacement decoder yet? I know I havent.
Yikes, and I just switched my SKY service to Vodafone, so I may never get one!

No..no upgrades yet. It is all part of the new Sky on demand service as far as im aware and nothing seems to be happening at the moment. It was advertised in the skywatch mag in January and the website has been up for some time but all seems quiet!

I wonder whether this includes my old Prime-only decoder from several years ago (if they even go ahead with the upgrade in the first place!)
