Amazingly no, those devices are unlikley to get it on your tv. Apparently it may work if you have an apple tv, and mirror it with an ipad, but I haven't tried that as I don't have an apple tv. It is the big weakness with lightbox. Apparently it maybe on chromecast at some stage.

Ipad needs Apple TV. Then it airplays from Ipad to AppleTV so need both.

Chromecast is coming, believe it's been well over a month since they said it's coming, so don't know how long away.

Don't know much about Macs, but if way of plugging it into TV that may work, I have a windows laptop with HDMI which works.

They Said Chromecast support was coming this month I think. That will be the way.

They so need an AppleTV app, because with the ATV at $119, it is a good device even if you have no other Apple hardware.

Chromecast was ' a few weeks away'  a few weeks ago, so hopefully should be imminent.
You don't mention whether you have a smart TV, but just in case you can get Lightbox on a samsung smart TV.

you other options are:

1) Buy an Apple TV (~$120)  and use Airplay.  Apple TV is great if you use iOS devices, so probably worth the investment even without Lightbox.
2) use an HDMI cable to connect your macbook to the TV.

The second option will probably give better picture quality, but obviously has the annoyance of having to stand up and go to the TV when you want to pause, change content etc.

Thats rumoured. Bout time too, as for non US users, its quite low functionality. If it gets its own AppStore, then Lightbox and everyone else can dev for it, a one box solution. Currently, Apple have to invite to have an app on there, so thats pretty much not gonna happen for most

3) Netflix

Netflix is not a way to get Lightbox on a TV.

Maybe you misunderstood the question.

Troll's a bit harsh? To rephrase. Netflix is an alternative to Lightbox that is easy to view on a TV or large variety of devices.

I've signed up to 12 months free, but have yet to stream a single program. Why Lightbox doesn't even provide a planned timetable for device rollout, at a minimum, is frustrating to say the least.

Do you have a PS3 or PS4? They make great media streamers because of the huge range of apps - Lightbox being one. I didn't even think of using mine until someone pointed it out to me.

Fair call, I'll stick on topic in future.

(I think I've flogged my LB frustrations to death, so will sit back on this particular topic in future).

You can get an apple tv on apples website for just $99, refurbished though, but apples refurbished stuff is almost as good as new I have found.
