I have been happily recording and playing programmes back through my Planner, but suddenly last night none of my recorded programmes will play back and I cannot record anything.  Although when I press record it shows on the screen but not on the display on the front of the box.  When I go to play back, it goes to the description of the programme but no further.  When I try to use live pause, it shows on the TV screen, but the TV picture keeps going.  I have looked up on the net for solutions and all I can see is to press SERVICES on my remote.  But my remote doesn't have that button, and when I got to System Setup and try 0,0,1 Select, it does not work.  Does anyone have any answers for me?

Ring the Sky helpline. They are helpful and easy to deal with.

I agree.

I've had the odd issue with my Mysky box, but the techs at Sky have been very helpful.

Switch off, back on, remove power cable, remove card etc all need to be done in most cases, but they'll often get straight through that stuff with you on the phone and then walk you through a proper fix.

You will likely lose all recorded programs though.

When you live pause (and it fails) does it show a banner on the screen? if so top right it has a code, if it does, what is it?

I finally found the hidden menu on my black mysky box. 0759 select. It worked. I did a full system reset. I set up a programme to record so I will see if it plays back in the morning.

My MySky has done this in the past, twice. Turned out to be a faulty hard drive, which resulted in the entire decoder being replaced.
