I have a non-MySky box. The EPG has been unpopulated since Sunday, which is making booking/recording programmes that are on at night for later watching (using hard drive DVD recorder) a bit of a challenge.

Is anyone else experiencing this and, if so, are the MySkys affected as well?

Set the decoder to channel 028 for about half an hour and it will download, Channel 28 has the data your looking for.

mysky+ and mysky HDi have dedicated tuners to download this sort of thing (and your on demand ppv)

get sky out, I see this quite often.

Edit:
removed a pasted but and corrected a little something

If your using a 3rd party STB channel 28 means nothing.
What is channel 28 and what transponder is it on?

Correct, it's a Sky STB (Motorola)

However, the EPG data seems to have all reappeared now. Murphy's Law I guess - problem appears and lasts three days, then within two hours of posting a question about it it goes away.

If you watch a lot ov 1,2,3 the guide does not download correctly stick it on a channel about 4 and you should be good, 000 and 028 are the home channels.

I virtually never watch 1,2,3,4 or Prime (less than 2 hours a month I'm guessing), and record them off the antenna not the Sky box when I do. Constant shouty ad breaks are just too annoying.

Mostly the Sky box is either on a movie channel or Soho.

Saw the same issue on our lunchroom skybox on Wednesday - quite a few channels were showing "Listings Temporarily Unavailable". I seem to recall the FTA channels were OK, it was the Sky-only channels that were affected (SOHO, Comedy, etc)

When I had an non mysky one all the listings disappeared around 12pm, or 1pm depending on daylight saving. They then came back channel by channel over about a half hour period.

So if you're in the lunch room around that time, I think it's the way they update the listings, delete the whole lot, and then reload them.

Is the Sky EPG disappearance, actually just the result of the roll out of the new Sky EPG with On Demand Content, Sky have been promising us....?

Come on Sky - either launch the new EPG or not....yes its gone very quiet from you....or are more preoccupied with fending off the Netflix/Lightbox revenue assault....!

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much
