If I want to relocate where I watch sky temporarily, can I go and buy some cabling and connect to the dish and run the cable about 35m to the new location?
How much does it cost to install sky in another location?
Thanks

joker97: While we're at it, is there a recommended way to power off mysky?
joker97: Got a very silly question.

Years back I removed the dish for painting, it wouldn't get a good signal after that, so I rung Sky and a tech came out to re align it. The ciost was the standard install, $99. He said, do you want it moved, as its same cost, I said yes, so he moved it.
In your case , any wiring and bits and pieces would not need to be bought, if you went the Sky tech, way. An option.

except now if they can't reach it from a ladder they wont do it, eg if you want it on your roof
joker97: I tried to diy some Extension and it's not working ... Maybe too much noise or too much resistance.
Anyone knows where to buy the bits and cable?

Wow. Yes, mine was a move from the bargeboard I think its called, that the guttering attaches to, to the roof, which was fine, then.

Radcliffe Electrical, you need:
RG6 whatever length you need
2x screw on connectors
1 x barrel connector if you are going to extend it from existing
