Received via email this morning

"We just wanted to let you know that we're updating our privacy policy to factor in some new activity: from August 10, we'll be using Google Analytics features that will enable us to serve advertising that's more relevant to customers. You can always find our privacy policy at the foot of our website."

Using Google Analytics fair enough, planning to serve ads in a subscription service seems a bit suicidal though. I guess technically all the Spark users aren't paying a sub directly but you have to assume that's baked into Spark's pricing, might be worth looking at Big Pipe again since the value of Lightbox and phone support etc is dubious.

Hulu has a subscription service to access older content/episodes and they still run ads before and during the videos. And I still pay it anyway.

Hey guys - this doesn't refer to advertising within our service, there are definitely no plans to do that. It's related to the use of cookies for display advertising and remarketing outside of our site.

We just didn't word it very well.

Makes sense. Remarketing is all good.

If I told you, I'd have to kill you...

Actually, if I told you, my friends in the Marketing team would kill me.

We have some new shows being announced over the next few months - that's as much as I can say due to the cloak and dagger nature of those deals...

From a platform perspective, we'll keep working on refining what we've delivered to date - we're at a point where our range of ways to watch is fairly comprehensive, so there's not going to be as much 'new' stuff as there has been in the last year.

films .....

movies.....

just saying...

keep the content rolling and consistency/reliability. couple of times LB freaks out and wobbles but on the whole our experience to date has been petty solid.
