Apologies in advance if this has already been hashed to pieces but I'm surprised there has been no discussion regarding tvOS and its ability to run applications, and how it could mean that Lightbox, Neon and Igloo could start offering streaming content straight to the Apple TV set top box. Is there any plan on any of the services writing tvOS app's?

Apple has said the older ATVs will not get tvOS.

Apparently they'll get an update of sorts though to theme it like the new tvOS, it just won't have the functionality. Shame :(

They'll probably set it up as the 'price fighter' entry level with the one that has tvOS being the full featured device.
