Hi,

Long shot, but just wondering if anyone pref WLG has a Skybox, Openbox any type of Linux DVB-S receive that may be surplus to requirements?

Otherwise I will import one :) Just want to add to the collection.

Does anyone know if the new blue card from the official Sky Box upgraded box (the KAON, not MySky HDi) will work in the Skybox V8 (or V7) selling on TradeMe?

I asked the question of the seller, but just got "sorry have not tested that card yet". Thanks.

I have one and used a Dreambox. It worked but I got lil 1 sec freezes every 7-8 secs. Googled but couldn't find a fix or why it did that so gave up on network access reluctantly

What does the first new lines of the number say on it? NZ45 or ...

NZ07K1001B. Came with the recently upgraded official
Kaon Sky Box which is a multiroom unit.
It also seems to work fine in the MySky HDi in the lounge.
The MySky HDi card is a NZ45... which I understand
will work in a Skybox V7. (confusing similar names!)
So perhaps I could put the NZ07K... into the MySky HDi,
and use the NZ45... in a yet to be purchsed Skybox V7 at the bach.
A potential solution, after which I could answer my own question,
both here and for the TradeMe seller ha ha.

Yes the NZ45 will work in the Skybox, so might be worth it!,

Getting slightly off topic now, but I've found putting the new NZ07K*** card into the My Sky HDi works, but I lose all recording functionallity. So not a good option if we have anything set to record on My Sky. So I won't be using the NZ45*** card anywhere else than in the My Sky.

Incidentally, the NZ45*** card from the My Sky HDi, will not work in the new upgraded official Kaon Sky Box at all. It seems that box only works with the card it is paired to.

I'd still prefer to just take a card to the bach and use it in a Skybox V7 (or V8), rather than take a decoder with card back and forwards, with the risk of dropping it! But unless the new NZ07K*** card from the new official multiroom decoder works in it, there would be no point in buying one. And I don't really want to buy the alternative box on TradeMe just to find out... back to square one.
