I've recently upgraded from a legacy Sky box to My Sky HDi and have run into a strange problem with the subtitles (closed captions).

The problem seems to be limited to UK TV where chunks of dialogue go missing, other channels appear unaffected..

The captions will work ok for several lines of speech then freeze and miss a section before continuing again.

The strange thing is that if the program is recorded and played back this doesn't happen all the subtitles are there, the problem is only during live TV?

I have contacted Sky about this but not heard back yet.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this problem or if anyone could test it for my on their equipment.

My box details are:

Hardware - Pace 012DEB

Software: 11.33.00.R.R.99

EPG: SNZ 77.0.0.14

I've been in discussions with Sky who have been very helpful.

They agreed that there is a problem with the coding that generates the subtitles for UK TV.

They think they have found the problem and fixed it but asked me to monitor it and get back to them.
