Hi All,

My MIL recently had a fall and fractured her skull, the end result is 4 - 6 weeks rest to recover, currently one sky decoder is in the lounge, however this area is not ideal, the second is in a downstairs bedroom, even less ideal.

My question is, the dish has 2 x cables coming into the house, one is connected the other has had the connector chopped off. Can I disconnect the second cable from the dish and connect a new co-ax cable and run to the bedroom?

The second question is how long can a cable be and still be effective? I need to run 22+ meters to get from the dish to the bedroom, will this still work sufficiently for MySky including HD?

I have a 20m and 10m RG6 cable and connector to join them, I need to run this along the side of the house then under the house coming in through the floor.

Anyone know if my plan will work? Currently she is getting up to go to the lounge too often moving around so much is a little unsafe.

Thanks in advance.
