So I've now got 6 months of Neon subscription through a promo deal, and am struggling to find content worth watching?

Lots of good clean kids movies for my sons, and quite enjoying 'Younger' as a TV series, but all the movies I've tried so far seem really low budget and 90's / $1 video store type content?

What am I missing???

Recommend me your (available on Neon) favourites please :)

True Detective. Season 1 was amazing, and season 2 also good.

EDIT: Just checked and it looks like Season 1 isn't on there. Meh, season 2 is definitely still worth watching, and completely independent of season 1 so no need to watch season 1 first - it's a somewhat unique show in that they start a completely new storyline with all new actors each season.

We have started watching the Good Life on Neon, shot in the 70's classic British comedy.

What's worth watching may depend on what your tastes are and what you've already seen, but for movies:

  • pretty much all of the Marvel Universe movies (Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Avengers...),
  • Kill Bill I and II
  • The Dark Knight trilogy
  • Star Wars episodes I-VI
  • and a bunch of things in their Drama category that I enjoyed (Changing Lanes, Crash, Doubt, Mr Brooks, Once Were Warriors, Showgirls, There Will Be Blood...)
OK, I was joking about Showgirls - it's awful. Even the excessive gratuitous nudity could not redeem what must be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

And for TV:

  • Fargo
  • Game of Thrones
  • The Newsroom
  • Ray Donovan
  • The Sopranos
  • True Detective
  • The Walking Dead
  • The Wire
  • Yes [Prime] Minister

Is there a way to sign up without a cellphone number? That seems unnecessary.

We only had a 2 month trial so didn't have long to go through much but did enjoy Forever.

Unfortunately it got cancelled after only 1 season.

I think this did also show on TV One but we didn't see it on there.
