I just started using Lightbox on PS3 and often the app will get into a state where it seems to think I'm holding a button down so it just keeps inputting that command over and over, the only thing I can do is exit the app.

It appears to be related to how quickly I am pressing buttons in succession, if I am slow and deliberate it doesn't happen.

I am experiencing this on two different PS3s both with a remote control and with the dualshock controller.

Are other experiencing this? @PaulfromLightbox are you aware if this is a bug?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

We are not aware of this issue, but we'll see if we can replicate it and come back to you.

Thanks for letting us know.

FYI,   I struck this a couple of times over the last two weeks...seems to be intermittent but my controllers are playing up due to the batteries I suspect....Rgds...Laurie

iplayer does that for me all the time, and have had it in hulu as well, so I dont think it is a lightbox specific problem. Ive not used that on my PS3 because I already get enough content on the other platforms to want to pay for yet another. Might try it if it comes free to spark mobile customers tho.

Hi Paul

Just letting you know that we have looked into the issue, but we could replicate it.

I don't believe it is service specific.

Cheers

I have had this issue since day one with LB on my PS3.  It almost always happens (about 25% of viewing sessions) when I am scrolling to the right amongst shows.  It suddenly steps to the far end and just hammers against the last item.  Sometimes it recovers after a few seconds, usually not - requiring exiting the app.  Only the exit button works during this time.

I haven't noticed a straight correlation to the speed at which I scroll, it's mostly just random but can be brought on by fast scrolling.  I'm using the wireless DualShock controller.

But, more significantly, it also happens in the TVNZ OnDemand app.

But the picture quality on these PS3 apps (incl YouTube) is SO good (compared to a PC) that I'm willing to forgo this minor bug.

This may well point to it being a problem with the PS3 OS, but since other apps like Netflix don't have the same problem it can obviously be coded around.

I think you're correct about it usually happening when scrolling to the right.
