About 3 weeks ago I phoned Vodafone to get My Sky transferred back to SkyTV.  Yes, they would do it at the end of the month.  Today 3 June Sky have told me (twice) that they have not received the account from Vodafone.  Today 3 June Vodafone assured me that the change had already been actioned, but they had no way of ensuring that SkyTV had received the account and they had no way of repeating the action since it was electronic.  Apparently Vodafone's "electronic notification systems" do not permit repeating actions which appear to have failed.  So I have Vodafone adamant that SkyTV have my account and SkyTV adamant that it is still with Vodafone.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Could I try for a new subscription with SkyTV through one of the "new subscriber" deals?

Just cancel it and get the deal mentioned in the other thread

But SkyTV insisted that my account was still with Vodafone.  I presume on that basis they wouldn't let me have a "new" deal!

You could cancel however I have heard there is a time out period on your address after cancelling to stop this happening.

Well I haven't cancelled anything.  And at present, according to Vodafone and Sky, I haven't got anything I could cancel!  Maybe I'll try for a new deal next week!

Or you could just wait til next month and see who bills you. With luck it may be neither and you get a free service. More likely you'll get a bill from both of them.
