Currently only a single LNB feed is going into the first tuner, if I use a splitter to have two feeds going in, will it allow more tuners to be activated for recording e.g. Olympics?
No, both posts feed all tuners via an internal switch. The second post is just there to support a multi-throat LNB. The box is already using all tuners it is capable of handling.
