So I've got a bit of a problem with the way Lightbox handles devices.

Over the years (honestly, keep being given free Lightbox - not complaining) I've built up devices and not sure if they really work until I use them. With any other online streaming platform it doesn't matter how many "devices" are registered on your account - what matters is the concurrent streams. With Lightbox however you can only have 5:

Now, I've got this issue. I've noticed that some TV shows I am interested in are on Lightbox now (Mr. Robot!) so have been using it quite happily with my Chromecast + Nexus phone except today I re-flashed my phone totally forgetting about Lightbox and bazinga, can't log in.

Now, since I removed my Oneplus 2 just recently in favour for my shiny new Nexus I can't remove my Nexus again to re-add it which means I can't cast my content to the the big TV (I have to wait a month). I can only currently play through the web browser and do Chrome mirroring to the TV however this is another problem:

I've also got a PS4 and my Panasonic Smart TV linked up but these load forever (spinning wheel of death) when you select a video. I've done some investigation and actually can't figure this part out - it isn't related to my DNS servers or anything... So there is 2 potential sources I can't use. My phone is my remote for everything anyway.

I know, first world problems. But Lightbox - can you please look into this in further detail and engineer a system that caters for us geeks who swap devices out quite often? I am not sure why it is even there, I'd much prefer a connection limit than a device limit and don't want to resort to Chrome mirroring to the Chromecast especially when it is possible to cast it (if you'd build the proper cast option into the web app I'd be quite happy with this too). Casting via Chrome Mirroring really does kill the battery on my lap-type device (Chromebook or Laptop)

But I like how far Lightbox has got and how much interesting content is on there now (and in HD too unlike another streaming provider we all know about). If some of these limitations were removed or fine-tuned to be far less annoying I'd be a happy camper.

i believe the limit is there as thats how they have purchases the rights to the content, with a caviet on the number of devices vs the number of streams

I have the same issue when I use different browsers on the same machine. Fortunately the Lightbox Chat service is very good and the issue can be fixed on the spot.

Just give them a call and they can wipe them all from your account in one hit. They've done it before.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.
