Hi all,

Just wanted to update you all on the Lightbox audio thread(s) issues:

Volume fluctuating up & down

We've found out what was going on here, and we’re working on a solution that will fix this issue that some of our users are having. We will be rolling out our fix early in the new year.

5.1 surround sound

Lightbox does not support 5.1 surround at the moment. We know this is something that’s important to some of our customers with surround sound setups, and we’re looking into enabling this at a future point – but right now there’s no date.

Curious on what is causing the volume fluctuations, is it setup related or on your end?

Would love 5.1, sitcoms, meh, but for some stuff it is a must have!

Hi!

My audio issue with Lightbox is that I can't hear it, even at max volume.  Other services (Youtube, Skype, WoW) are OK at near max volume, (I have a hearing deficiency), but Lightbox speech at max vol is unintelligible.  Is there a solution to this?

Is there a date on 5.1? The video quality is great but I'm growing restless waiting for 5.1.....Having the right audio come out each speaker as intended would be great....

GeorgefromLightbox: These fluctuations should be fixed before the end of the month

I really hope you hit this target.

Audio fluctuations have been pretty bad for us the last couple of weeks, with audio switching between 2.0 & 5.1 (AV receiver upscaled) multiple times during a 42 minute episode.

Our connection is a pretty reliable 44Mbps/8Mbps, and none of our other SVOD providers are struggling.

Hi all,

We are still working on this, and testing has revealed a few inconsistencies. We want to get it right, so this'll be another week or so (what with the long / Easter weekend etc).

Sorry! We're sorting it...

Glad to hear you're on the case! We're getting half a dozen audio dropouts during a 42 minute episode.

Ok, mini update: testing has been going very well and we're looking to roll out the audio fixes from Monday next week onwards.

Thanks for your patience! :)

Our audio project has been completed! All the sound should now be at a consistent volume.

Let me know if any of you experience volume going up & down etc  :)
