I don't know what I was expecting, but there doesn't seem to be much content, and little of any quality.

How much do they expect people to pay for this service? At the moment its pitched about right.

I believe it's $20/month, which is on par with Netflix. Lightbox is $13/month I think for a local comparison. It's ok though, Neon has a few decent shows. Just it's about 3 seasons behind for most of them.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

I never saw the appeal of Neon. A whole bunch of old TV shows and movies I've seen before, all in SD (not HD) for the (not so great) price of $20 a month...nah, I think I'll pass.

There seems to be more "current" movies than Netflix, certainly ones from 2015/2016. They are now mostly in HD, but they are broadcast in DD2.0, that is simply not good enough. We also have the free account with Vodafone, I probably wouldn't sign up at $20/mth as it stands now

I recently got it too.  I'm half way through Westworld, best thing I've seen in ages.

Lots of premium HBO content here.

I agree with the comment above that it's really not acceptable Neon content's not in 5.1. I don't have such a problem with the range of programmes (which is ok), but this sound issue is a killer for me.

Case in point: we watched the latest episode of Fargo on Neon (via Airplay) - while I could cope with the video quality, it was quite a shock to realise how vital the aural spatial environment of the programme is to its sense of menace and foreboding, as when watched with 2.0 sound it was so lacking. TBH, it sounded like 1.0!

I'll go back to watching Fargo via alternative means... while good sound may not be so critical for something like a sitcom, it's clearly not the case for me with this kind of programme.

If found it good for some movies, it is definitely better than a couple of years ago when I signed up just for GoT.

I have cancelled now and gone with Sky.

Got it free for a year also. I think at that price point it's about right. Have looked through the sparse catalogue twice in 2 months and watched exactly zero. $20 puts it as one of the most expensive options and no way would I pay even half that.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I got it free but there is no app for a Sony smart TV so it makes using it less convenient.

The TV has Netflix built in - although I find the movies really old and uninspiring on Netflix. Have not watched a single movie on it in 6 months in fact, as all too old and/or seen them.

At the moment I won't be renewing after the free year expires.

I've been offered 6 months free via Vodafone, just have to sign up by the end of this month. I'll get the APK and load it onto my Fire TV stick and see how things go from there. Given the comments above, that probably won't be anywhere.

Really? You didn't check out Westworld?  It's the best show I've seen in ages, finished it tonight.  I'd seriously recommend it, big Blade runner fan.  I'd love to holiday in Westworld.

Will continue on with Girl Friend Experience (I was one of about 3 people in the world that actually liked the Stephen Soderbergh film of the same name that the series is modeled on) and will commence Fargo season 3 this weekend.

Rewatched GoT season 6 in anticipation of season 7 next month and also watched all of season 2 of Ballers (guilty pleasure, reminds me of Entourage).

I've heard taboo is great but haven't watched it.  Same with Penny Dreadful, meant to be good as well.

Just finished the first two seasons of Fargo on Netflix. Annoying/odd that the third one is on Neon!

I am watching "The Last Ship" about an American warship which survives a plague that wipes out the rest of the world. Typical post disaster stuff, but fun non the less. The premise is really good, but the characters are a bit 2D. Looks great on my 4K laptop screen.

Apart from the movie War Dogs, which is great, that's all I like so far, oh and "Bad Robots". ;-)
