Is there any issue putting a join in a sky HD cable when shifting a dish?

Have been told by one person they won't put a connector in, the existing cable is too short for where it's got to go - and could be a bit of a mission to pull a new cable through (new build - builder had the now too short cable put in before roof went on).

We have joiners in ours (put in by the installer). No issues.

Just make sure they are somewhere that corrosion wont get them too quickly (ie. inside).

Joins can be put anywhere - we have water proof crimps on hand.

Put the dish wherever you like.

It's another point of potential failure.  Over to you how much that concerns you/impacts in real life.
