Trying out lightbox on an HTPC and projector...

Chrome is pretty average... Searching the web there is plenty of discussion around Netflix suggesting that Chrome is only good for 720p. The same discussions recommend IE and Silverlight as the player.

Anyone with experience to share?

And why no 5.1?

Our preference internally is Chrome: we've found it the most reliable and fast. Next would be Firefox.

We haven't supported 5.1 so far: maybe in the future though.

Chrome works well under Linux as well despite the warning on their website.

George - what frame rate do you recommend as I've found 60Hz is generally the best to avoid tearing etc.

I'd also love to see 5.1 audio as an option.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

No problem with speed here but what matters most is video quality. Does browser choice matter for this?

Browser choice should not affect quality.

And 60hz is a great choice but frame rate on our content does change dependent on distributor and country of origin. :)
