Some years ago we got Sky with WTV which had a few Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Japanese channels.  What is available now?

I did a google and a article on the Sky site said channel 155 and 156 are available (both mandarin) but when I look at their channel guide there doesn't seem to be any.  There is a few Hindi and Filipino channels.  Freeview CTV8 is listed but it seems to be all overseas stuff, I couldn't even find a 30min slot of NZ news translated in Chinese.  I think there is a Sunday or Saturday session though.

Cheers.

Their locally produced programming is available on demand at http://video.936.nz/videos.php and is also broadcast on Freeview 28.

It seems their 30 minute locally produced NZ news programme is currently off-air. It was broadcast weekdays at 6pm.

From my understanding WTV pulled off sky services a year or 2 ago, they were going to stream everything over the net but that was the last i heard about it.

However I walk past WTV most days and there are still cars and people working there.

I think WTV launched a service based on the TVB (HK) puck 3 or 4 years ago. There's a picture of it on their service page here http://anywhere.936.nz/

There are a couple of Chinese TV channels on Freeview UHF including the new "Panda TV" which is on channel 37. Channel 28 is the WTV channel and their studio/offices are right behind Sky TV.

Thanks for that.  Have emailed them.  The website doesn't list prices and contracts.

On their 936.nz homepage the blue box on the right says the service has been discontinued.
