Any progress on a Android TV App for Lightbox?
There is one in the play store but it seems to be a restricted beta version.
I'd be happy to test it on my Mi Box 4K and report back.

What Mike said.
I have a MiBox as well so would be happy to test. Currently use the sideloaded phone app, but this requires a mouse.
+1 I have Lightbox for free with my Spark internet subscription. I've never used it as its useless to me without an Android TV App. Shield TV here too.
It must be device specific? I have a Sony TV which I understand is running a flavour of Android TV and I have the Lightbox App installed via Google Play Store and it works fine. Hopefully that would mean less work to do to make it available for other Android TV platforms.
Coincidentally I googled lightbox android tv apk yesterday and got an interesting result. I recommend doing the same.
I downloaded an APK for Lightbox Android TV app v1.0.0.
Installed, opened, logged in and set up MiBox as a device. MiBox remote works, UI looks a bit tatty but I can navigate and select etc, so far so good. But .... I can't play anything I just get a playback failed please try again message.
So I turned on the storage permission for the app (the only permission option) and rebooted the MiBox. Still no luck.
Turned the data saver mode on and tried again still no luck.
Something still isn't right.
Mike
That's a pity, it's working well on my Shield TV. I suspect that is their internal test device. I was planning to install it on the mother in laws Mibox this weekend, but maybe not yet.
Tried it last night on my FireTV and i'm very impressed - Great work @GeorgefromLightbox and the team
Remote works well and performance is snappy. Set my video quality to high and watched an episode of BSG. This was a good check of how their playback deals with a lot of grain and dark scenes and overall it was reasonably quality, with absolutely no skipping or buffering on ADSL2.
Feedback
Can't wait to see it officially released.

Seems strange why the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.co.lightbox.androidtv) says it is incompatible with my device (Mi Box) when it is specifically an Android TV app version which is exactly what the Mi Box runs.
So what devices was it released (accept is a beta) to run on?
It appears there has been an update to version 1.0.1

Any chance of a link to the APK for testing - Nudge @GeorgefromLightbox

That's the version that is installed on my Sony A1 series Android TV.
Managed to install (sideload) onto my Mi Box. Working sweet as. Even appears on the main apps menu - dont have to use a sideload launcher.
