I forgot this was yesterday.

It looks like expanded SkyGo plus Sky OnDemand. Great stuff

Really just the start of the things sky have planned (most of them are already known from the release last week).

It has taken them a while but that is due to the work that needed to be done to cover a number of different types of users that are now around.

Like I said the other day it would be an interesting 12 - 18 months :)

Very much so. There is a bit to set up, but Sky Go would be quick and easy, I'm pleased. Makes my iPad more a mini SkyBox, must set up that new iPad Pro 12.9!

I have made some suggestions at work the other day about it. I don't know what is going to happen but I am hoping that the skygo app gets the same "skills" as the current sky tv guide app (remote record etc).

Someone asked me why you would need remote record when it now has on demand. Pointed out to them that remote record is useful to record the news if you are running late on the way home or if you want to record something on another networks channel etc :)

Be good if it had FTA. And can record to the tablet. Tablets have a lot of storage these days, be handy at times.

The only thing I've noted so far is that the app is set to portrait mode until you start watching video, then it follows the device orientation.
Now all I need is a Chromecast link in the corner of the app like Lightbox, YouTube, Netflix, TVNZOndemand, ThreeNow, etc and it would be great.

Edit: Yes I know there's more to it than just a link.

I've always had a good experience with Sky GO, even from the UK where it isn't GeoBlocked; actually it isnt blocked from Dubai and I've enjoyed the cricket while there.

I noticed straight away the quicker interface, logging in and selecting a channel. Positive from me...

The little things make the biggest difference.

Still hate the channel selector slide bar thing, why can't I have a page of boxes/channel icons to click
Never seems to work too well in Chrome...
