Sky guide applic updated, and could go up to about 1st September from today’s date.

A lot of Sky channels had info available, and the red remote record lit up, as I’m on digital rental not able to test, but if it works that’s real neat.

I’m thinking putting Sky movies on near end of month, looks like $9.99 a month for two months, plus it’ll cost $12 to put starter on, so may be worth it.

Just search salvation and the terminator movie showed for 1st Sept, big change from being able to search one week ahead only, and also be able to set record.

Nice move.

They are adding bits and pieces steadily, yes, good move. If and when they provide a full Sky app end of the year as advised end of last year, that will be the icing on the cake. Sky everything on my ATV4, iPad Air and 12.9 iPad Pro

I agree, definitely a good move. It's a shame FTA channels don't provide the additional data, both to Sky and Freeview, especially considering the bigger channels often have their schedules planned months in advanced.

If they are using the Sky Fanpass app on ATV4 as building blocks then they still got a few bugs to fix, I got it last week with the Spark discount and the 1st thing I noticed were dropped frames.

Who said that? I've never heard that. Same with SkyGo. I imagine they would use the Neon platform

Yes when I used FP, it appeared to lose a frame often enough to be annoying. Poor.

Change the Apple TV to 50 frames a second. I got the same with Neon, but changing to 50 Fixed it.
I had the match frame rate ticked but until I changed to 50 it was jerky when panning etc.

I don’t have fan pass but no harm in trying it.

Thanks I'll give this a try.

Is it noted anywhere that they are going to release a full service Apple TV app? I thought they were going to do something with Android like Vodafone did.

Last year Fellet intimated that. Didnt guarantee that, but clearly intimated it. Given the dropping subscribers, Sky has been adding value as per @rugrat thread here. SkyGo is an almost, sort of Sky app. But if an app can be full Sky, thats a big added value feature. Multiroom for free for everyone.

Still waiting for the expected anti Sky brigade! :-)

I ended up sending a message to Fanpass over Twitter with an example video of the frame drop issue using ATV4, I think they have fixed it as I switched my box back to 4K 60hz and I can't see any dropped frames...would almost call it as good as the Satellite version.

Shouldn't it be 50hz in NZ?
