An elderly neighbour is having issues with her light box on her Samsung SmartTv. When I start an episode, any episode on her light box it plays fine for 20 - 30 seconds then the screen goes black and stops. Don’t think it’s a buffering issue as the picture would still be displayed right. Any one else experienced this? Tried to delete the app but can’t find the option to delete lightbox, the app indicates it is up to date. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Edited as forgot to mention this is happening on a Samsung Smart Tv.

I have not seen this problem. All the same I periodically full reset the TV for similar things. I often see instability of different kinds after tv firmware upgrade. Full reset, upgrade if required and then get any applications.

Problem is this wipes out all login/passwords which will cause significant inconvenience.

Have reset the Smart Hub, re -entered the credentials in LB, I am told the show plays for a lot longer but the screen still goes black and crashes.

Next shot, Unplug adsl/fibre router count to 10 and plug back in again. Some consumer routers behave badly after long uptime.

Yea have spoken to the LB helpdesk, more desk than help ;) they suggested resetting the app, I went further and reset the whole thing, also spoken to a local Harvey Norman guy who said once you accept Samsung’s terms and conditions on setting up the smart hub feature, it wipes any liability from Samsung, mentioned the CGA and he became very defensive. Will try calling Samsung....

Hey!

Sarah from Lightbox here.

We have a new build with Samsung now! Once they launch it will resolve this issue.

In the meantime, unplugging the TV for 30 seconds resets all apps when they go into weird states.

Thank you for helping your neighbour, that is so thoughtful of you.

I hope the new update is super awesome and you enjoy it.
