Hi

Just got a 4K TV, I believe Kordia had a test 4K channel content, is this still going?

Does anyone have any insight into when any of the other broadcasters will have 4k channels?

Cheers

I doubt we will see 4k broadcast channels in NZ due to the cost.  Plenty of 4K content on Youtube and Netflix though.

4K over fibre is much more likely than over the air...... (IMHO)

Current Sky decoders have no 4K capability.

And my guess is if and when any do have this ability, it wont be via Sat.

Foxtel in Australia only started producing our "local" sports such as cricket, nrl, supercars ,afl etc in 4k in the last few months. Its not like there was much content out there that Sky could even access.

I don’t believe Kayo will be streaming the Masters in 4K. Everything I’ve read suggests it will be available in 4K for Foxtel subscribers with the IQ4 box but nothing about 4K on Kayo. Do you have a link?

Sorry no.

I may have misinterpreted , I had the audio muted , walked past the Tv and there was an advert with a banner about the masters in 4K

I just wish I could watch the next season of game of thrones in 4K. But it seems not even HBO streams 4K.

YouTube and Netflix seem to be it for mass market stuff.

pffft why watch in 4k when you can get an 8k set for far more than $8K :P
