Bought a new Panasonic TV ( TH-55FX600Z)then a new home theatre system (Marantz NR1509).

Connections from Mysky - ethernet cable to router & HDMI to TV (port 2) & optical out to TV.

Connections from Receiver to TV - HDMI to port 2 and optical

The problem is when I change channel on Sky using remote, which ever function you want, the Sky picture come on for a second or two then the Sky box shuts down. It's on long enough to change one channel, if you're quick but definitely not long enough to search to record anything. You can't even watch something that's already been recorded.

I want to record the AB game but can't

Yep, sounds like your MySky is stuffed. Sky will replace it.

Also, why do you have Optical and HDMI connected? You should go MySky - HDMI to Receiver Input (on whichever input you think appropriate - Sat/Cable) - HDMI out from receiver to HDMI input on TV (whichever input is labelled ARC - audio return channel).

HDMI does both audio and video.

Fixed the Mysky shutting down - called sky support, pressed red reset - picture stayed on then got directed to power save and turned that off.

I disconnected optical cable on the back of the TV and sound went off?
