Hi everyone,

I recently found 3 BNIB IGLOO TV boxes.

Noted that IGLOO went bust in 2016, but they did provide an OTA update to turn their box to a Freeview box. There's even a link back then with SKY to download the SDL file to manually update the box using USB.

I would appreciate if anyone with the SDL file can share it with me so I can watch TV.

Thank you in advance.

Hi all,

After trying for almost 2 weeks, the USB method has not worked for me. This even leaving it unplugged for 1 whole week, in hopes it will run the USB update.

Sadly, it keeps booting up and enter the verification page and the update file didn't run.

To help others, below is the link to the SDL file courtesy of member, kiwisoma for anyone else needing the file to try and update their devices;

Looks like permission is required from @kiwisoma in order to download

Hmmm, sounds like the lgloo is not seeing the usb drive.

1. Confirm the USB is FAT32 format. NTFS will not work.

2. What size is the .sdl file on the USB key ?

Once the USB key is inserted, reboot. The s.w. load with a white progress bar. The upgrade happens immediately.

Good luck.

I have reformatted 2 USBs to confirm they are FAT32 format.
The size of the sdl file on the USB is 31,526KB
Upon plugging the USB in, it reads the drive (lights was blinking) and I reboot.
But sadly, the patch is never read and update doesn't happen as the 3 igloos are still seen and will eventually end at the subscription verification page.

Hi kiwisoma,

Thank you very much for this.

Appreciate if you can share the link here, or just replace the one before.

It helps all of us in need of the patch.

I passed mine to my colleague who was confident he could patch them, will point him here if he fails too.

Thanks in advance!
