Hmm. Can't find anyone else has posted about this. Looks a good option to have sport in one place again (if you are with Spark)

Why would you start your own sports streaming service, only to bundle your competitors service as well..
Because your own product is over priced and can't sell itself.
Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.
At $49.99 a month that is a serious price tag for sports IMO.
I'll stick with Kayo
The little things make the biggest difference.
I assume Kayo is a profitable business and making a reasonable return?
Kiwis get screwed when you compare against Kayo packages. They sent me a $5 off per month voucher last month now i only pay $20AUD per month.
So just confirming, that bundle is $49.99 a month for both Spark Sport & SSN? I found the pricing in that article a little confusing.
If Sky would fix the SSN frame rate issues, that's a pretty competitive deal.
Depends on what you find as your value point for watching whatever sport you want to watch, when you want to watch it.
$25/mth I could justify for casual viewing, particularly over summer with the cricket or through the golf majors etc, but $50 (which I'd need to spend as sky has some cricket and the golf, spark has some cricket) is a big investment for "now and again" viewing.
If your family and/or partner aren't big into watching sport then actually getting screen time can be tricky

I wonder if Sky will eventually acquire Spark Sport, just like they did with Lightbox?

They still have a fair few numbers on satellite though - over 500,000 isn't it? I doubt they'd want to dump them all and force the lot onto streaming. I daresay a sizeable portion would move elsewhere.
nztim:quickymart:
I am sure that Sky want yo dump satellite and go 100% online streaming but the reality is that at least 1/3, maybe more of its customer base doesn’t have access to broadband suitable to stream
Ive had Sky forever, could not care less how its delivered. Sky Sport Now is NOT how it should be delivered, poor quality. Spark Sport is excellent

Let me understand this topic. The original discussion as posted by the OP is about Sky Sport bundle on Spark.
You may have noticed some of you won't be able to post in this thread anymore. If you want to discuss the legality of accessing overseas streaming services I suggest someone create their own topic under the ICT Policies and Regulations sub-forum.
I am removing all off-topic posts now.
