sorry if this topic has been covered before but i have searched and  came up empty handed,

we have a sky decoder in the lounge and a second one in the bedroom ( to lazy to walk to the lounge to change the channel) any way we have an old sky dish put on our motorhome, now sky shd (sky help desk) says that we can take one decoder in the bus and it should work straight away, anywhere, given the dish is aligned correctly. Heres where i have a problem, i have the dish on the bus correctly aligned (using compass and a sat finder) yet when i try to get a signal it says rain fade and on the signal screen the bar graph is empty and the signal is unlocked.

now on the house we have a duel lnb and the bus has an old single one, i have not changed any parameters in the setup, eg frequency, etc as i dont want to blow anything up.

can some please help or post a way of setting it up?.

when i put it back in the house it works fine again.

what brings up the "signal unlocked"?

any help would be apreciated.

regards
frustrated camper

I suspect the LNB on the dish on the bus is different to the one on your roof. If it is you need to change the settings in the decoder. Cyril7 posted a PDF with instructions in one of the posts somewhere. If you search you will find it.

Here it is
