Sky Sport Now have made some big changes to their Android App just today, 23 August 2022.

I am just wondering if they have released the update for Android TV, and if so, could someone be so kind as to share it? I have a Philips TV and have to sideload the app onto it since SSN does not support my TV.

Hey there,

My previous skysport now app that was sideloaded on my mibox no longer works since the version upgrade.
Any chance of posting that link for the updated app version?

Brilliant, this version works well on my mibox s 4k (despite Sky saying its unsupported/wouldn't work).

FYI as an alternative google matt huisman slyguy, SSN through Kodi also works (and updates to the app haven't broken it yet)

I'd forgotten about Matt's plugins, loaded kodi on the Bravia - IPTV merge makes it so much better, now I can use SSN as regular channels alongside the FTA streams, and can pop the guide within live sport (unsure why they haven't added that back to SSN yet)

And it asks me for live or from the start.

Mapped double press of remote's TV button to launch Kodi and start live tv.

New version on the TV a day or so ago, 5.0.6

Whenever I notice, i'll just dump an APK into the folder below in case they start requiring certain versions.

Just in case anyone looking to get a Xiaomi Mi TV Box S (2nd gen) with Sky Sport Now, it does show up when you search for the app, but says it doesn't support your country... even though I am in NZ, and this is the NZ App.

Wish they'd just say it straight, like not supported on this device because sky has trust issues.

I've got no crazy VPNs or DNS, nothing that should change my location. So guess it's side load or nothing.

PS, you need the nz.co.skytv.fanpass.ced (the ced version), which currently is at v6.0.2

There is another app under nz.co.skytv.fanpass which is the android phone version, and is at like v14, you don't want that.
