So Sky has the F1 rights but I haven't heard much on what they are offering.

Unclear whether we will be able to easily watch Practice, Quali on-demand as we could with Spark.

Also this weekend is testing and I can't see that in the Sky Guide at all, only Race 1.

I'm also not sure if we can get a free F1TV sub with a Sky sub. Anyone have any idea?

When Sky had the rights previously, they didn't broadcast testing, but did broadcast all practice sessions live and do full repeats, plus highlights of the race. Presumably SkyGo will also have them ondemand.

The alternative is to get an F1TV Pro sub, which AFAIK is $99 for the whole year.

You can choose your commentary to be either the Sky Sport UK or by default its the F1TV crew.

It will contain ALL sessions and can be watched at anytime. How sky nz treated F1 previously the F1TV product is a much better offering IMO.

F1 TVPro is on sale $79.99 for 1 year subscription. That $3.47 per race plus you get all the other goodies F2, F3 side shows and historical races too.

Cheers for this. I was hoping there would be a discount and so now have my sub sorted for the year :)

Lucky you still get F1TV in New Zealand then.

I'm currently in Germany and they stopped offering it after Sky Germany got there rights again. Luckily they haven't terminated my existing subscription!

Considering the only reason I ever had Sky sport in NZ was for the F1 reckon even $100 a year is a bargain.

Don't forget to try out Multiviewer, comes in real handy if you want various stats windows open. Win, Linux & mac but you can cast to your TV.

Okay after looking at the upcoming Sky TV guide for this week, Can clearly see for Formula One Sky has the following:

LIVE Practice 1, 2 and 3

LIVE Qualifying

Live Pre Race and Post Race breakdown

LIVE The Race (8x 60 min highlights) (4 x full replays)

All live and with replays at different times.

They also have Formula 2, Live including Practice, Qualifying, sprint race and feature race. Only replays of the feature race though

Also looks like its spread across multiple channels SS2, SS3, SS4 and SS5, I wonder if they will have the BBC commentary though?
