Anybody out there been able to do this successfully?

I've had a go at it but can't get the app to launch.

Thanks in advance.

Presumably you are in NZ?

If so, it should be available via the Google Play store and you shouldn't need to sideload it.

If its not there, its likely they don't have a ported version of the app for Android TV.

An 'android' app does not necessarily work on every android product unfortunately - there are 'variants'.

Your best bet maybe to install kodi and look for the Sky Go addon on Matt Huisman's site.

Yeah, I had to do it as mentioned above, through Kodi.

slightly off topic question - skygo allows 2 streams at same time, can anyone who has sky box verify this is true and working ?

Can confirm.

I can stream sky go on my ipad, a friend "elsewhere" can stream from tablet to TV whilst my TV & skybox can be watching a third channel.

Thanks for this. What's the best way to set it up?

Do you need to install Kodi on a PC or server first and then access via the Chromecast? I have Next PVR already setup so maybe I can tie it in with that somehow? Need to do some reading, but any advice much appreciated.

You install Kodi on the CCwGTV.

I think its available in the google play store.

Then go to Matt's site and follow the instructions on setting up the Sky Go addon.

Kodi also has an addon called 'simple IPTV' that you can use to set up IPTV channels if you wish.

Look on Matt's site about setting up the Freeview NZ streams via Kodi.

I also have a library of content on one of my PCs that I can access on various devices plugged into my TV via Kodi.

On the PC you set up a folder and have to create a Samba (SMB) share so that other devices can mount that folder.

On Kodi you can mount that PC share and browse/play content over your network - Very useful.
