Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the audio output from MySky HDi?  When I first got it installed I had the tech set it up to NOT output the audio via HDMI but instead via optical.

Now I have a new amp that can process HDMI audio but I can't get MySKY to output audio over HDMI.

SKY said they'll send a technician around but that won't be until during the week so I'm stuck with no sound.  I'm sure it's just a menu option somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Strange.. I cannot see anything in the settings which disables Audio via HDMI
My box outputs it out via Both at the same time

Do you get sound (via the TV) if you plug the HMDI cable straight from the MySkyHDI -> TV)

Thanks

No I don't get HDMI audio even if I go direct to TV.  I specifically remember seeing it when the tech installed it so I'm guessing it's under a special installers menu.

Originally when I asked if all audio output were always on the tech didn't know so he disabled the HDMI audio.  In hindsight I now assume all outputs are permanently on and HDMI shouldn't have been disabled.  This wouldn't be an issue if there was a user option to turn it on.

I know how to get into the installation menus and can't find an option to disable HDMI audio and why would you want to? You know that if you go HDMI you will only get stereo, no DD 5.1, don't you?

Try hitting the mute button, make sure volume line is blue not red.

If volume line blue, then hit volume up on sky remote.

Mute and volume controls have no effect on digital outs (except HDMI). I can mute volume and sound will come out stero system but not TV, unmute and sound comes out TV as well.
