I am on Sky satellite and around 6.50pm tonight I got the “Atmospheric conditions…” issue with no pictures. Just came back on now an hour later..

They dont have much in terms of system status on their website that I could find..
Am in Wellington area.

Anyone else have issues?

Same thing happened to me in Auckland.
Saw some dark clouds out west and assumed a storm was coming.
Switched to watching online for a couple of hours and then checked the Sky feed and it was back up, so figured it was a technical issue.

I am never surprised when something goes wrong with Sky, if I am honest.

Just before 7pm in Whangarei district for about 10-15 minutes for the Freeview. Assuming it were the dark clouds out west. Was quite long, they tend to be shorter, slow moving system perhaps?

Satellite issue?

Motorhome at Kairakau Beach, Hawkes Bay.
Total loss of signal just before 7pm. (TV3 weather) last night for about 10 minutes.
There was not a cloud in the sky between us and the satellite.

Yep satellite issue, remember the satellite has a wobble and isn't Geo stationary any more. Observed the same issue in Nelson.

In the evenings my signal drops between 7.2  - 7.5db+. when it gets to 7.2 that's when the no satellite message/signal drop outs, picture break up starts appearing.  During the day it a solid 13db even when raining.

Is this what you guys in the rest of the thread are seeing?

@jabz not for me, my issue was just a one-off for Nov 7, around 7pm.

Can confirm the problem for me was isolated to 7 Nov only.

Recently I have seen Sky ads advising some changes coming to satellite users and they will be in touch. Waiting with baited breath…hopefully its well tested.
