Banner on SKY TV website saying

Service notice

On Tuesday 28 October, from 1-2am, we'll be updating some of our black Sky boxes. If you're watching at this time, your box will automatically download the update and restart. Recordings will also be interrupted and will restart after the update finishes.

Does anyone know what this update is going to do, like removing any more features (like they did with on demand).

Complete stab in the dark with no inside knowledge/etc. Could be something so the boxes don't get confused when they 'see' UHD versions of the Sky Sport 1 and pop-up channel that they're launching soon. Last thing they'd want is the reciever trying to latch onto the wrong Sky Sport 1 option and throwing errors.

Had a black box installed last Thursday and it did a software update as part of the install.
