Heyo guys,

Just wondering does sky use lma.npaw.com for anything?  I cannot find much info about it apart from it being an "streaming video analytics solutions delivers reliable, real-time insights with no granularity compression. Our solutions are CDN and player agnostic and provide you with a reliable, vendor independent assessment of your service's quality of experience".

I have never noticed this on my network till I got sky a few days ago.

Heyo,

Yeah it is.  I haven't been with sky for long, I noticed it in my router logs as well as in the next dns logs.

I think it is to do with sky, cause when I unplugged the ethernet cable I didn't see it cone up,  and then when I plugged the Ethernet cable back in, it was nearly every second.

Have you triied blocking any of those? I expect it will break box functionality.

Another way to log traffic is to use https://mypublicwifi.com/publicwifi/en/index.html

Then setup a wifi hotspot as it has url logging built in, not good for full https logging though. Ive used this method to dump stream urls from certain tvs

They are automatically blocked with the DNS that I use, that is how I found it.

How?

Does it really matter?

If you've blocked it, and things are still working, then great...

If you have nothing useful to say from the original question, then don't reply.  Me and the other member was just having a conversation about something else he asked about that I couldn't answer till now....

Correction just so everyone knows:

lma.npaw.com is part of sky, it's video analytics.

Just remember oneday (when complaining about variety of programs etc), to let sky know you blocked the data they look at to see who’s watching what.
