I'm running the standard PACE Mysky HDi Receiver through my Home Theatre. Generally speaking it's an intuitive and satisfying user interface, but I have one small niggle that irks me on a regular basis.

When I go to use the planner or guide pages, the box insists on playing some random selection of music  at a volume that I find quite intrusive, notwithstanding that it's not to my music tastes.

Of course i can (and do) hit the mute button for instant relief, but of course this means missing the first sentence of the conversation when I return to the program I was watching.

Anybody know of a way to control the sound on the planner/guide pages separately to the standard mute and/or volume controls?

Guide > Active > System Setup > System Settings > Audio and Language Settings > Background Music.  Change that setting to "Live" to just use the sound from the channel you're watching.

Ah - that worked... and I have the option of current live program or blissful silence while I sort my stuff or prowl for programs. Geekzone does it again. Cheers Kyanar!
