Hi,

I see in the new SkyWatch they are launching HD VOD. I for one would make more use of the service once this has been brought in.

I aim to misbehave.

Had a look at it last night, it's up and running, looks good with the trailer for the program running in the corner, though you need a phone line connected to the STB it said on screen so don't know if you can do it over the phone like SBO. Think I'll wait to they start the HD version they mentioned, if I'm going to pay might as well be in HD.

Sorry do not get your point... you say it is up and running but then say that you will wait until they start the HD version? I am not sure if you realise but the SD version has been around since 2006.

I aim to misbehave.

No I didn't know VOD had been running, just SBO - or is that the same.

SBO is on Ch200-214, VOD are movies/TV Shows on the HDD. Only MySky and MySky HDi customers can get VOD.

I aim to misbehave.

Damn, I thought I was going to get in first with that annoucementWink

I wonder when it will be introduced? Surely they will be wanting to meet or beat the introduction of TVNZ's Tivo with this one. The annoucement says "in the not too distant future". Can't be more vague than that. In the same box as the text of the announcement they show a picture from "The Dark Knight" (now I could be tempted to pay for that one) and "In Bruges".

Hi,

I think it may be June as if you look on page 43 in the T&C's it says HD content only available to MY SKY HDi subscribers with the HD ticket. For it to be in the T&C's this quick seems hopeful to me.

I aim to misbehave.

Yet another reason to allow connection of additional storage.

Hi,

As much as I would like external additional HDD. HD VOD should not affect current user space as it will use already VOD partitioned drive.

I aim to misbehave.

The ps3 now allows copy protected files to be moved onto any fat32 format usb storage device. The only condition is it can only be played back on ps3 that made copy.

Would solve storage space problems if sky allowed same set up. They are losing some money as a result. As I am currently not subscribed to sky movies - reason got no space to record them so no point.

Find $7 a bit pricey for VOD, but if really good movie, and HD quality really good may consider it for odd movie.
