How do you have your amp and TV hooked up to the STB? Do you get issues at all on any other channels?

Do you have the "HD ticket" for movies/sport. Check with other HD channels besides the FTA ones if you can. Is it the sound or the picture that is arriving too quickly? If it's just HD content and not SD content that's out of sync, and the audio is arriving first then your TV is likely taking longer to process the HD signal than the SD one, but your AVR is constant with it's processing time. The manual for the SKY decoder makes mention of this and shows you how to adjust the delay for the SPDIF outputs, but not for specific channels only.

No I dont have the ticket for movies and sport...but I have found a solution. Sky rebooted my box by remote - it was still out slightly (even using the MySky time delay) however, I tried good old fashioned RCA's into the AVR, (as opposed to optical lead) and bingo, spot on.

As I dont have surround sound speakers, I can live with that...My AVR is around 9 years old, so I think that was the problem.
