Did anyone else with MyskyHDi watch this on SM greats the other night?

I recorded it and I'm trying to work out if its an SD Upscale or a proper HD version, as I understand the 3 movies are not out on Blu-Ray yet.

Opinions?

Slightly OT, but related to the thread,

I watched Fellowship and two towers the last two saturdays. in a row I go forward a week to set a reminder for ROTK and it is not on this saturday. Any ideas when it is going to be on?

Watch out though because they will most likely do what they done with the dvd, how they brought out just the theatrical version first then months later they brought out the extended versions of all 3. Hopefully though they dont and just shove them both on the same one :D

I thought you could only record in SD with MySkyhdi? Is that not true?

can most indeed record in HD with the HDi unit, only thing to watch is it uses more disk space

Given the TS (transport stream) is merely copied to the hard drive isn't it obvious that it would be native resolution when played back?

The MySkyHDi will record it in HD (if movie is HD) and play it back via hdmi in HD, but if you want to transfer it to another medium (HDD-DVD recorder etc) the copy-once transfer will be in SD via s-video or composite.
