Hi

Has anyone else had problems with MySKY/HDi and learning remotes

I first had the Sony learning remote and often when you pressed a button nothing would happen with that particular button until you used its equivelant on the proper remote.

I now have the logitech remote and when I first got it the default programming for the buttons would often appear as if i had been pushed twice. It got better when I learned the function instead.

You don't say which logitech remote you've got, but I bought the logitech harmony One, and I had to tinker with its settings so that one push of a button made only one eveent happen. You can easily find out how to do this from the software or the website, or Logitech's tech support which is superb.

I have the 'one' also. I had tried the other remotes but didnt like the finger feel. My experience with their help desk was quite different, I had alot of difficulty getting them to understand what I meant, I am not sure if it is Kiwi English or their English that was the problem.

Do you have the new HDi unit. The IR sensor is quite sensitive.

I have a Harmony One, and all is good (just missing a planner key - so hit guide and left arrow)

Last year we found the support service to be exceptional. No major issues with the Sky (aside from one page of favourites missed the 0 in the front)
I had a Canadian guy who toughed it out with custom programming for the Sony LCD without without discrete codes. Two different days and he called back, on time, and spent considerable time retesting. He would code/configure, and then I would transfer to remote and test.

They're superb aren't they? Since the programming is done online, they can even do the programming for you and all you have to do is download to the remote.

I told my remote that the ^ key was guide and the equivalent down key was the planner.

I do have the new HDi box and haven't noticed the sensitivity you mention; what are the symptoms? Perhaps you need to tweak the remote?

Cheers
