Can anyone tell me why sky sport has the olympic rings under their imprint in the right hand corner, it has been there for a while.

yeah. prime will also be broadcasting it. it will be the first time it isn't being carried by tvnz according to wikipedia

As part of the contract with the IOC, I think they are required to show the rings for a certain period of time leading up to the games.
