My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

At the end of the article it says texting will follow at some stage so hopefully now that the infrastructure is in place it should be similar to the other operators.

So by saying it is done via the satelitte, am I right to assume that means I won;t need to have mysky plugged into a phone line?

Finally!! I have waited for this for a long time now.
I remembering flicking through the SkyWatch Magazine and seeing a section that said this would be coming in the next couple of months, if I remeber correctly, that was about 8 months ago XD

about time I say. Great news if you forget to set something to be recorded

as I understand it, a 'hit' is sent to your STB over the air, which will then activate the recording.  These 'hits' are sent to your card regularly to refresh its entitlements, I think this is just a variation on the theme.

Is it going to be this friday or next friday? I got the impression from the article it would be available on friday next week. Can anyone from sky around here confirm the date?

I just logged in, set it up and sent a couple of remote record requests. All works great as per the user guide. Well done Sky! Great stuff! I guess it was this Friday that it was becoming active...

Yep. My recordings appeared almost instantly in the planner on the mysky so it seems very quick. The only thing missing is TV 1 and 2 EPG :-(
