Have not had a look at this form for a long time but have a simple question – where can “normal” people get a 2nd MySky remote?! Just that have a few technically challenged friends starting to wake up and get MySky installed and tell them to get a second remote and Nexgen wireless.

Sky tell them they cannot supply a 2nd remote!!

Our Foxtel remote works fine thanks to Ozzie connections.

Why work on Wednesday and stuff up 2 good long weekends

If they can spring for it a Logitech 525 universal remote fits the bill nicely. It can be had for around $85 if you shop around. This would probably be the equivalent to importing one from DSE Australia

A couple of notes with it. It takes a while to get setup. Just the process of customizing it to run exactly as you like.

It also has a very slight delay when operating the mysky. I used the default profile for the mysky that logitech set for me. I haven't tried to get rid of the delay as it is not a bother to me.

Cheers, Matt.

I have a 525, and it worked great with MySKY (when I had it).

If SKY wont supply a 2nd remote, how about you 'lose' it, and ask for a replacement. I can't see them denying that!

There may be a $50 charge to deliver it..... There seems to be a $50 charge whenever they come near your house.... Just make sure it is not down the back of the couch when they come to deliver it. They may do a quick search!!!

We are almost in need of another 525 as I can never seem to find either the 525 or the standard sky remote... I might have to chain them down like they have done with our staplers at work.

Why would you need a second one out of interest? To switch channel in another room?

To save the big job of transporting the remote to another room where MySky is viewed!

The decision by Sky to be difficult in this situation is ridiculous.

You can pick up a compatible remote from www.dse.com.au if required.

Sky advised me by email yesterday that they can supply a second My Sky remote for $25
