We've had our MySky HDi box for about a year now, and it's always failed the odd recording or two every now and then. However, in the past few weeks, we're getting more and more failed recordings (both ad hoc recordings and Series Linked). In the last week, it seems we're also getting half-programs recorded (without failure) or the recording duration extended by half an hour.

I have heard reboots can help things, but we turn off our electronics at night to save power, so it's essentially getting a daily reboot anyway.

Anyone know if this is a known issue, or should I be ringing Sky to get the box swapped out?

Yeah, mine just decided that there was no episode of Futurama tonight and didn't bother recording it.

Methinks the MySky firmware is just plain dodgy.

I turn off my MkSkyHDi box overnight too and I have no such recording problems. I have the new energy savings setting disabled (set to off) because of this. Maybe if you have the energy saving set to low, medium or high you should try turning it off to see if this makes any difference. Otherwise I would suggest contacting Sky to see what they say.
