Did a remote record for this mornings wales vs all blacks match.

Great , no worries I think.

Go to watch it at a more reasonable hour, and hello, what does "failed error code 40" mean?

I am really p****d off with sky. This is the 2nd time remote record failed.

It is just too unreliable for big events.

I did a manual record on tivo of prime (since it can't get primes epg) and it did that fine..
I'm sick of MySky..

Error code 40 means that the MySKY software tried to make the recording but failed for "unknown reasons". This can happen if one of the tuners stops responding, which really requires a reboot to get it back. The remote booking side seems to have worked OK, in that the decoder was aware of the need to record the match, but the decoder let you down. Did you get the same error with the previous failure, and did you reboot it after that?
